§ 30-91. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Junkyard means an open area which provides space for the storage or display of derelict, broken, rusted, inoperative, incomplete, partially destroyed, or damaged machinery, vehicles, building products, wreckage, debris, scrap, junk, trash, or other materials.

    Salvage facility means yards where recycling, dismantling, or reclaiming of machinery, automobiles, building materials, or other personal property takes place and includes business activities similar to junkyards and wrecking yards.

    Wrecking yard means a place where building products, machinery, vehicles, wreckage, debris, trash, or other materials are dismantled, segregated, stored, and offered for sale, salvage, or reuse.
