§ 46-63. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).

  • (a)

    For the purpose of classifying all occupations and economic activities in the newly annexed area of the city (see Ch. 78, Art. IV, Div. 2 of this Code), the city hereby adopts the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) as issued by the internal revenue service and will, from time to time update and clarify definitions of economic activities, as it may become necessary, by ordinance of the city council. The NAICS manual will be used for definitions.

    (b)

    The amount of license fees due and to be paid by the different classifications of licenses shall be as set forth in section 46-60, Schedule of Fees. Such fees shall be due and paid annually unless otherwise specified. The schedule follows the order and numerical sequences of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). Regulatory requirements for specific business activities are listed in the schedule as well as the fees.
