§ 58-132. Same—Application; issuance.

  • (a)

    No permit required by this article shall be issued except upon and with the approval of the city council. No application for such permit shall be considered unless there is attached to the application a detailed sketch or plan prepared and certified by a civil engineer licensed to practice under the laws of the state, showing the proposed excavation and ultimate development or restoration of the property in such detail as to meet the requirements of the city engineer; nor shall such application be accepted unless and until the detailed sketch or plan has been approved by the city engineer.

    (b)

    Each application for a permit under this article shall be filed with the city clerk in writing and verified by oath of the person making the application as to the truth of the statements contained therein. The application shall set forth the name and address of the person owning the property, the legal description and location of the property, the number of cubic yards of material to be excavated or removed, and the purpose thereof. The requirements contained in this section shall be cumulative.
