§ 26-2. Adoption of National Incident Management System.

(a)

The city council hereby recognizes the NIMS and adopts NIMS principles and policies.

(b)

The city council directs the Hialeah Gardens Police Department Office of Emergency Management to establish a NIMS baseline by determining which NIMS requirements have already been met.

(c)

The city council directs the Hialeah Gardens Police Department Office of Emergency Management to establish a time frame and develop a strategy for full City of Hialeah Gardens NIMS implementation.

(d)

The city council directs all city departments, agencies, organizations to institutionalize the use of the incident command system.
