§ 2-251. Holding of elections; notice.

  • (a)

    Nonpartisan general and runoff elections shall be held as provided in the Charter, article III, section 5. The mayor and councilmembers shall be elected in accordance with the procedure established in article III, section 9, of the Charter.

    (b)

    A notice of all city elections shall be given at least 30 days prior to the date of the election by posting a written notice of the election in at least three public places within the city. It shall be the duty of the city clerk to post the notices.
