§ 2-305. City officers, employees entitled to appeal to the board.

All officers or employees of the city shall be entitled to appeal to the board with the exception of the following:

(1)

Mayor, members of the city council, and any members of appointed or elected boards or commissions for the city.

(2)

City attorney and associates.

(3)

Persons of technical, scientific, or professional training who maintain an independent practice of their respective professions who are employed by the city on a consulting or retainer basis.

(4)

Persons of a temporary, seasonal or emergency employment status working less than a 30-hour work week, or for a duration less than six months.

(5)

Any employee who has not completed the probationary period of employment which entitles him/her to permanent employee status.
